A Flag for Me and You
Sing to: Three Blind Mice

Red, white and blue,
Red, white and blue,
A flag for me, A flag for you.
It is the flag of our great nation,
It's honored by each generation.
Join me now in a celebration,
Red, white and blue.

A Nation Free

Today is a time for fireworks and fun,
But we shouldn’t forget its reason.
This is one of the most important days,
Of the entire summer season.
Today’s the day our nation became free,
And the date of the country’s birth.
For so many years we have grown to be,
One of the best countries on earth.

American Flag
Sing to: Frere Jacques

What is red? What is white?
What is blue? What is striped?
What has many stars? What has many stars?
Can you guess, how many there are?
(All shout 50.)

Beat a Drum
Sing to: Clementine

Beat a drum, march along,
Give a cheer, "Hip, hip, hooray!"
Wave a flag, sing a song.
Happy Independence Day!
See the fireworks in the sky,
Give a sheer, "Hip, hip, hooray!"
Happy Birthday to America.
How we love the USA!"

Day of Independence
Sing to: Sing a Song o' Sixpence

Sing a Song o' Sixpence,
Eat Buckwheat and Rye.
Save the wheat for Soldiers,
Plenty for July!
Day of Independence,
See the boys pass by.
Loyally we'll hail them,
This Fourth of July!
Old Glory floats above us,
High over land and sea,
Freedom, love and justice,
Are ours and liberty!

Down at the Flagpole
Sing to: Down By the Station

Down at the Flagpole

Down at the flagpole,
Early in the morning.
We will raise our flag,
The red, white, and blue.
We stand at attention,
It's something that we do.
We salute the colors,
The red, white, and blue.

Flag Song
Sing to: Mary Had a Little Lamb

Our flag is red, white, & blue,
Red, white & blue.
Red, white & blue
Our flag is red, white, & blue
In the U.S.A.

Our flag it has 50 stars,
50 stars, 50 stars,
Our flag it has 50 stars,

In the U.S.A.
Our flag it has 13 stripes,
13 stripes, 13 stripes,
Our flag it has 13 stripes,
In the U.S.A.

4th Of July

Sing to: Frere Jacques
4th of July! 4th of July!
Independence Day! Independence Day!
Hear the bands playing.
See our flag waving.
4th of July! 4th of July!

Fourth of July Treat Flannel Board

We need a special treat for Independence Day.
Would something cool and sweet be okay?

Let's start with a munchy, crunchy cone,
Though it's not very special when it's all alone.

Red raspberry ice cream will add some zest,
Because it's so refreshing, some like it the best.

Vanilla white is what I would pick,
But we have to wait to take a lick.

Top it off with bright blueberry
For a treat that's colorful and merry.

So here it is--red, white, and blue;
A holiday treat for me and you.

I'm Proud of Our Flag
Sing to: Hickory, Dickory, Dock

Our flag is red, white and blue,
There are stars and stripes on it, too.
I'm proud of our flag, the United States flag,
And you can be proud of it, too!

On the Fourth of July
Sing to: London Bridge
It is our country's birthday,
Birthday, birthday.
It is our country's birthday,
On the Fourth of July!

Our Flag
Sing to: Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star

Stripes and stripes and little stars,
Oh, how beautiful you all are.
Red and white and blue, that's true,
Waving proud for me and you.
Stripes and stripes and little stars,
Oh, how beautiful all you are!

See Our Flag
Sing to: Mary Had a Little Lamb

See our flag, it's waving high,
Waving high, waving high.
See our flag, it's waving high,
It is red and white and blue.

The Red, White and Blue
Sing to: Oh, When the Saints Come Marching In

Oh, when the flag comes marching in,
Oh, when the flag comes marching in,
How I love to see its three colors,
The red, white, and blue.

Way up in the Sky
Sing to: Row, Row, Row Your Boat

Wave, wave, wave the flag,
Hold it very high.
Watch the colors gently wave,
Way up in the sky.

Wave, wave, wave the flag,
As we march around.
Hold it high to show our pride,
It must not touch the ground.

March, march, march around,
Hold the flag up high.
Wave, wave, wave the flag,
Way up in the sky.

Wave, wave, wave the flag,
Dear red, white and blue.
Stars and stripes forever bright,
America to you!

WE HONOR YOU
Sing to: Happy Birthday

Oh, red, white and blue, We honor you.
You have red and white stripes, And fifty stars, too.

Whose Birthday Is It?

Some birthdays come in winter,
Some birthdays come in spring.
On birthdays there are games to play
And lots of songs to sing.

My favorite birthday is in July,
And it doesn't belong to me!
It's the birthday that lights up the sky
For all the world to see!

Rockets glare, trumpets blare,
And bands begin to play.
Happy Birthday America,
It's Independence Day!
